Qantas has decided to maintain its Brisbane-Koror route. While it was due to end this seasonal service in December 2025, the Australian airline has changed its mind and announced that it is extending its flights to the Palauan capital for an additional year (until December 2026) in response to the high demand on this route.
“Qantas will extend its flights to Koror, one of Micronesia’s most popular cities, for another year,” said Pat Conroy, Minister of Defense Industry and Pacific Island Affairs.
More than 5,000 passengers traveled on this route during the first quarter of this year, an increase of 113% compared to the same period last year.
“Since the beginning of the year, we’ve seen strong interest from Australian travelers in our Palau Paradise Express service. That’s why we’ve decided to increase the number of daily flights on the Brisbane – Koror route.”
Qantas’ service to Palau is once a week (every Saturday), operated using its two-class Boeing 737-800 with 174 seats, including 12 Business Class seats.
