How do I access my booking?
On Qantas.com, go to the “Manage My Booking” section and enter your 6-character booking reference (e.g., QR1A2B) and your last name. You can also log in directly to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account, which gives you access to all your past and upcoming bookings.
On the Qantas app, the process is the same: your boarding pass appears directly on the home screen once you’ve checked in.
Changing a flight date or itinerary:
Whether you can change your flight depends on the type of fare you purchased. Economy Flex and Business Flex tickets allow you to change the date or itinerary without a service fee, subject to availability on the new flight you’ve selected. If there’s a fare difference, you’ll be charged or refunded the difference, as applicable. “Red e-Deal” tickets and promotional fares are generally non-changeable – only cancellation is possible, with a flight credit issued.
Flight delayed or canceled by Qantas
If Qantas cancels or significantly delays your flight (generally more than 3 hours according to Australian passenger protection rules), you are entitled to be rebooked on the next available flight at no additional cost, or to receive a full refund.

This could be a typo or a change in a woman’s marital status—from single to married, or from married to divorced.
Adding extra baggage:
Pre-purchasing additional checked baggage through “Manage My Booking” is always cheaper than buying it at the airport. On Australian domestic flights, the surcharge for excess baggage starts at approximately 35 to 45 AUD, compared to double that amount at the check-in counter.

Qantas Flight Credits – How do they work?
When a non-refundable ticket is canceled, Qantas issues a “Flight Credit” equal to the value of the ticket minus any applicable fees. This credit is non-transferable and can only be used by the original passenger.
To use it, go to “Manage My Booking,” enter your credit reference number and your name: the amount will be automatically deducted from your next booking. Please note: this applies from the date of issuance or the date of the original flight.

Selecting or changing seats:
Seat selection is available in “Manage My Booking” as soon as your ticket is confirmed. On Australian domestic flights, certain preferred seats (front rows, window or aisle seats in emergency rows) are free for Gold, Platinum, and Platinum One members, and subject to a fee for others.
On international flights, the policy varies depending on the cabin class and fare. Bassinet seats (reserved for parents traveling with their child) must be requested through customer service or the special needs department, and are assigned on a priority basis to families with infants.
Update your contact information:
It’s essential to keep your phone number and email address up to date in your reservation. Qantas uses this information to notify you of schedule changes, delays, or cancellations.

In case of issues or refunds:
For any complex refund requests (partially used ticket, cancellation for medical reasons, etc.), Qantas customer service can be reached by phone or via the online form in the “Contact Us” section.
Platinum One members have access to a dedicated line with priority wait times. Refund requests may take between 7 and 15 business days to process, depending on the case.
