Qantas announced today that it has reached an agreement with Condor to offer members of its Qantas Frequent Flyer loyalty program the opportunity to use their points to book flights operated by the German airline.
A chance to fly to Europe at low prices
Until now, Qantas travelers residing in Australia and New Zealand generally had to use major alliances like Oneworld or long-standing partners such as Emirates, Air France, KLM, or Finnair to reach Europe with their Qantas points. The partnership with Condor expands this range with a particularly extensive network to several must-see holiday destinations in Europe and North Africa.
For your information, Condor does not directly serve Australia or New Zealand. Qantas Frequent Flyer members will therefore need to combine their journey via connecting hubs such as Bangkok, Johannesburg, and Rome-Fiumicino.
In practice, travelers could, for example, fly from Sydney to Singapore or Dubai with Qantas or Emirates, then connect through Germany to catch a Condor flight to their final destination in Europe. Frankfurt is already establishing itself as Condor’s preferred gateway to the continent, with quick connections to beach resorts and major European cities.

The points system:
For segments operated directly by Condor (for example, Frankfurt-Palma de Mallorca in Economy, or Frankfurt-Malé in Business), the exact number of points will only be visible when searching on the Qantas website or via the “Flight Reward Finder” tool, as availability and the points rate vary depending on the booking class and travel dates. Therefore, travelers are advised to check directly online before planning an itinerary.
However, here is an example of the points required to book Condor flights using miles (Qantas Points) – shared by Flighthacks.com.au:
