Jetstar Airways will launch two new seasonal routes this fall from Perth and Brisbane to Manila and Cebu in the Philippines.
Starting November 27, the Australian airline will offer three weekly flights on the Perth-Manila route, and will maintain the same number of frequencies on the Cebu route, whose inaugural flight is scheduled for December 3.
Both flights will be operated by A321 LR and A320neo aircraft.
These new low-cost flights offer better access to tourist attractions in the Philippines, such as the Tagaytay Highlands and Manila’s Taal Volcano, or Cebu’s variety of attractions, from magnificent beaches to refreshing waterfalls.
Stephanie Tully, CEO of Jetstar Group, reacted to this news: “With these routes to the Philippines, we are taking a step in this direction, while bringing our country closer to these two major tourist destinations.”
A codeshare agreement with Indigo
In a separate development, Jetstar Airways announced that it has signed a new codeshare agreement for flights between Australia and India.
