Qantas A380 down: Singapore – Sydney flight suffers major delay

A Qantas plane was forced to cancel its trip from Singapore to Sydney due to several mechanical failures.

The cancellation left more than 300 passengers and crew stranded in Singapore for an additional day while the aircraft underwent repairs and maintenance checks.

The A380 aircraft, which was scheduled to operate Qantas flight QF82, was scheduled to depart Singapore Changi Airport at 8:45 p.m. last Monday. However, after approximately four hours of waiting, the passengers were removed from the aircraft after their flight was canceled.

The stranded passengers were taken into care by Qantas and transported to a hotel near the airport. The next day, they were placed on an alternative flight scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Another problem occurred with the A380 preventing it from taking off on schedule.

The flight finally took off at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday after being delayed for nearly two days.
