Vietjet Air launches “Golden Days Travel”: Flights starting at 199 AUD for Australians

As part of its “Golden Days Travel” promotional offer, the Vietnamese low-cost airline Vietjet Air has just unveiled a new promotional campaign aimed at Australian travelers: “3 Golden Days.” The promotion features Economy fares starting at 199 AUD, including taxes and fees, as well as attractive discounts on premium cabins and select domestic routes in Vietnam.

The promotion is valid for bookings made through midnight on July 9, 2026, leaving a short window for travelers wishing to take advantage of it. However, the eligible travel period is much longer: tickets offered as part of this promotion are for flights taking place between August 15, 2026, and March 31, 2027; a span of nearly eight months. This gives Australians plenty of time to plan vacations, family visits or business trips around major school breaks and cultural events in Vietnam.

According to Vietjet, several hundred thousand discounted seats are available as part of this promotion across its entire regional and international network.

From which Australian cities can you fly?

Vietjet serves Vietnam from four major Australian cities: Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.

All of these routes primarily serve Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s economic gateway, with connections to Hanoi and other destinations depending on the route.

What’s included in the 199 AUD Eco Fare:

The introductory fare of 199 AUD corresponds to the Eco fare, the most basic option. Previous promotional offers from Vietjet on these routes typically included 20 kg of checked baggage and a hot meal for Eco tickets purchased during the promotional period—conditions should be verified at the time of booking, as inclusions may vary by campaign.

Discounts on premium cabins:

For travelers seeking greater comfort, Vietjet is also offering, as part of this same promotion, a 20% discount on international Deluxe, SkyBoss, and Business fares using a dedicated promo code. This discount applies to the base fare for eligible international flights; taxes and additional fees are charged at the standard rate.

The benefits of these premium cabins include:

– Priority services and dedicated passenger assistance
– More flexible flight change options
– An enhanced in-flight experience
– For the Deluxe fare in particular: up to 40 kg of checked baggage, free seat selection, and easier flight changes.

How to book?

Promotional tickets are available exclusively through the airline’s official channels: the vietjetair.com website and the Vietjet Air mobile app.

Vietjet notes that flight schedules may vary by route and that promotional fares may not be available during certain peak travel periods. It is therefore recommended that you review the full terms and conditions, availability and applicable restrictions directly on the official platforms before making a purchase.

Vietnam, a booming destination for Australians:

This campaign is part of a broader strategy to strengthen connectivity between Australia and Vietnam. In recent months, the airline has launched new direct routes, including Ho Chi Minh City–Brisbane (the first direct route between Queensland and Vietnam) and several flights to Hanoi and Melbourne. Vietnam is now among the Asian destinations experiencing the fastest growth in popularity among Australian travelers seeking affordable vacations in the Asia-Pacific region.

For those who enjoy multi-destination trips, Vietnam offers a wide variety of places to explore once you arrive: the cool, romantic highlands of Da Lat; the beaches and resorts of Phu Quoc Island; and the major cultural hubs of the central coast, where you can enjoy local cuisine, historical heritage and lively neighborhoods.
