Qantas and the Air France-KLM group have strengthened their alliance with a codeshare agreement covering several new routes, including the direct Paris-Perth flight.
With the new agreement, Air France’s “AF” code will be added to Qantas’ services to the Australian destination.
The Australian airline, which is inaugurating this direct flight, considered one of the longest in the history of air transport, operates this route four times a week during the peak season and usually reduces its frequencies to three per week starting in August.
This agreement opens up an attractive travel option for French holidaymakers
Air France stated that this partnership with Qantas boosts passenger and cargo traffic and will strengthen cultural, commercial, and diplomatic ties between France and Australia.
Noting that lines are already operational between Paris and Perth, but include at least one stopover like the flights offered daily by Singapore Airlines via Changi Airport and the Japanese company ANA which serves this route once a week with a stopover at Tokyo-Haneda.
