As part of its strategy to strengthen its domestic services, Jetstar Airways has announced plans to add more than 19,000 seats this year on its Canberra-Brisbane route.
This increased capacity aims to meet the growing demand on this route and support the growth of tourism in and around the Australian capital.
The low-cost carrier has also decided to replace its current A320 on the route with a larger aircraft. This new aircraft, an A321LR, offers 56 more seats than its predecessor and features more spacious overhead bins.
Stephanie Tully, CEO of Jetstar, said: “Our customers in Canberra benefit from easy, non-stop access to Australia’s biggest business and leisure markets, and with our increased capacity, they’ll have the choice and connectivity they need when booking their domestic travel.”
Exceptional fares to celebrate the new offer
To celebrate this new offer, Jetstar is offering flights from Canberra to Brisbane starting at $129 instead of $230.
The Australian low-cost carrier also continues to offer low fares to Gold Coast and Melbourne starting at just $81 and $93 respectively.
