Koala Airlines: Australia’s future airline will soon take flight

The Australian Federal Department of Infrastructure and Transport has just approved the registration of Koala as a new Australian airline. Founded by Bill Astling, it has lofty ambitions.

Another star in the australian sky

Bill Astling, a tourist aviation expert with over forty years of experience in the field, has successfully launched a new airline in Australia. His new airline, Koala Airlines has just received approval from his supervisory department for official registration. The first takeoffs are scheduled for 2026.

Koala Airlines will not join Qantas and Virgin Australia

The comparisons are already beginning, even though Koala Airlines has yet to be launched. It is starting to be contrasted with its two future rivals: Qantas and Virgin Australia. But Bill Astling has been clear on this point, stating that the model of this new airline will be fundamentally different.

The question remains as to how exactly. Will it be a domestic airline? A low-cost regional carrier? So far, nothing has been announced on this subject.
