Emirates, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has decided to withdraw its A380 from its Dubai-Brisbane flights and replace it with a Boeing 777-300ER. The reasons behind the UAE airline’s decision have not yet been revealed.
The Emirati carrier has been deploying its A380 on this long-haul route since October 2024, but following this decision, the number of seats offered on this route will be reduced by 14%.
According to Cirium (an online aviation analysis company), 30,507 seats will be offered in August and September, while the number will increase to 28,992 in October following schedule changes.
Emirates also reduces its service to Perth
The Emirati airline announced a few days ago that it has modified its Perth schedule, which until this month had operated two daily flights. From now on, Emirates will fly only once a day to the Western Australian capital. However, this flight will continue to be operated by the A380, and the Boeing 77W, which is used to serve return flights from Perth.
